Mirrors for my V8S

Hi all,
I am missing the whole assembly on the passenger side. I'm told it's from a Citroen but can't find any reference to it.
Any ideas anyone? It looks like it has 4 or 5 "ridges" around the housing but that may not be any help to anyone.

Citroen CX mirror - quite an old model.
I'm not sure if its on one or two other citroen models too.
You can get them from some TVR suppliers but it's not a cheap route.

I think its also the same mirror as chim and griffith.

From memory ( 4 yerars ago) the housing was around £85 and the mirror another £25. I was quoted nerly £200 for painting so I took the frog and motor etc out of the new one and reassembled it all in to the old housing. Like an idiot I then sold the empty shell. What a plonker!

At the risk of opening up a long thread maybe we need to start looing around for alternatives like the S boys have. I've noticed three possible candidates on new cars. The Mini, Fiat 500 & Corsa all have door mounted mirrors and mounting plates which look large enough to cover the exising hole in the door.

Got any thoughts anyone?

other than that if you are not in a hurry they do appear on ebay from time to time

then theres the TVR breakers like Douglas Valley etc...
