Original Hood Stay

Just had the car back with a new hood (more of that later) and looking at the hood stays I had the impression that they were upside down. The narrow part at the bottom and the wide part at the top and it just looked wrong had some look at a couple of other S's and they were the same much to my surprise.

I've got fat bit to bulkhead and thin bit to targa hoop, but did take them off a while back to re make pivots and give them a tart up so may have put them back on the way that "looked" right ?

Mine are also wide at the top.
