Front indicator removal

Just trying to change my front indicators but the old ones seem reluctant to to come away from the main body of the unit are they glued on.

Do you mean separating the orange bit and the black bit once you've got them off the car? If so, yes they are glued together - but not just any glue, this was BL glue from the 1980s, so they should fall apart if you look at them long enough. Alternatively, a blunt dinner knife or something like that might help them apart.

Thanks for info just wanted to make sure before I tried to separate them with a little force.

why seperate them ? new units come as one piece with a new back section. If you can find them

I used an (old) soldering iron and melted them apart
