Afternoon all,
some of you may know I sold my S2 to Tom (Orange Dodo on here) about a year ago. To cut a long story short, I've got the TVR itch again. I've considered a Chim but, to be honest, as much as I like them I think I'd be buying in a dodgy price bracket. I also think that the running costs rise exponentially when compared to an S : higher insurance, fuel costs, camshaft issues, ECU issues etc etc etc. There's something really simple and undaunting about the S series.
If anyone is thinking of selling or knows any cars for sale, I'd be really grateful for a tip-off. Also, I'm fairly open-minded but would really prefer a later car in good cosmetic condition and a good shock/spring set up that's ready to go. As tempting as a V8 would be, I think running costs would be in a similar bracket to the Chim.

Evening all, I've gone and done it :
I bought the car that Wizzer passed on in favour of Giles' old S2.
Dark blue S3, cream interior, 50,000 with bundles of history, Peninsular neighbour-botherer exhaust system and a nice, solid but grimy chassis.
Needs a bonnet respray and some general fettling but drives superbly. Plus it's only 15 miles down the road and after last weekends absolute farce of a car (had to bump start it, overheated, then the owner told me it had no MOT) I didn't want to lose out.
It's been sat outside for ages and so doesn't look the prettiest at the mo but will be given the treatment very soon. It's sporting a PH decal at the back so does anyone know the car (Reg : J101CGO)?
Can't wait to pick it up!!!!!
