photo of gearstick area without gaiter wanted

I'm putting in a MT75 'box and it is possible to cut and shut the gearstick linkage to shorten it so that I can then use a straight gearsick . However as the body is off my chassis I cannot see if there is anything in the way of shortening enough to make it so that the gearstick does not need the dogleg the original has. In fact I may be able to have it a little further towards the front to make it even more ergonomic!!!

So If anyone has a photo of the box/tunnel area with the gaier removed I would appreciate it.

I have not driven a TVR yet - would it be more ergodynamic if the gearstick was an inch or so further forward?

do you find the gearknob not in the right possition for your hand?

looking at the type9 in the photos

it wouldn't take much to lengthen the bracket to bring the stick forward - the downside would be increased throw.

Mike i think its just 2nd and 4th positions i dont really like.

Especially when you have one of those passenger things, who uses the consol as an armrest, when you're doing a quick shift, lol.

I'm about 5 foot 11 tall and find it ok but everyones different, lent my car to guy at work who's noticeably shorter than me, he'd moved the seat so far back I don't know how he could possibly have driven it without virtually lying down ??
