Biggest bargain ever or something more sinister?

I miss my S a lot. This leads to me trawling the classifieds every so often and I noticed this one:

That's (fractionally) less than £2.5k for a car with an allegedly good car (mecahnically) with a recent chassis restoration, new suspension and a sound engine.
Last time I looked you could get a first rate respray for less than £2k and that seems to be more or less all that's required.
Good luck to the new owner if they're on here. I was just being nosey and wondered if it really was the steal of the century or if there's more to the story than the ad lets on? Seems like an awful lot of car for the money.

That would be my new car! 
So far (touch wood) I've not encountered anything sinister. That said there is plenty cosmetically to do to bring it back to it's former glory. Apart from painting the rear of the car it is in need or a re-trim for both seats, the drivers door has dropped a tad and needs re-hanging, and the passenger wing mirror is currently held on by tape (New one ordered ¬_¬). But I like a challenge, and it gives me something to do during the evenings whilst still driving and enjoying it at the weekends.
Has the Mot coming up soon so we'll see if that jades my opinion of if I got a good deal or not. lol!
