Seatbelt help

Hopped in the S today, all was well untill I attempted to put my seatbelt on, nuts it wasn't giving any slack! Eventually I got a screwdriver to the casing behind the seat, and destroyed it which enabled me to get the belt through around me to drive the car and not risk getting a fine. I obviously need new ones, anyone know where I can get them?

take a a look at www.securon.co.uk ,they suggest their 500/30 then search ebay for best price !

I used the Securon 500/15, the shorter stalk gives a much better fit across the lap.

However, I don't know much about seatbelts, could anybody give me some insight of how they are measured? Not sure 500/30 or 500/15 would suit the car better or not...

The 30 and 15 refer to the length of the stalk on the buckle in centimetres (the bit bolted down to the transmission tunnel)

depending how far back you have the seat some people find the 30cm stalk sticks up too far others may find the 15cm too short and a fiddle to get at.
I went for the 15's but fitted some little extension brackets that make them about 200mm.

The 300mm stalks are about the same size as the original fit, I found them much too long especially for the kids.

If you have the original belts and they've not been removed before I'd get working with the Plusgas. The bolts on mine were pretty tight due to rust, I borrowed an impact wrench to get them undone after shearing one off using a breaker bar.

It was actuallly. It was on a the enterance to a drive, parked side on.

There was nothing wrong with it then! It was the slope stopping it working.
