Ride height V6 vs V8

Evening everyone - question.... can someone tell me why the V8's sit higher than the V6's? Do they have bigger wheels or is it the make up of the chassis, as wheel arch clearance seems to be larger than the V6.

I wasn't aware there was a difference to be honest though it could be logical certainly at the front as the wishbones are longer - so if they were at the same angle as V6 ones this would make the car a bit higher. A wild guess though.

The wishbones are so close to horizontal (in fact in an ideal setup, they would be horizontal, at rest) that the marginal difference in length would barely lift the chassis at all.

Like Barkychoc, I thought that the ride heights were all supposed to be much the same - although I would say most are now adjustable so the chances of measuring two the same are probably pretty remote!

I was always under the impression V8s have better ground clearance than the V6 so would enable the V8 to sit lower?

They have better ground clearance because of the exhaust routing, so it would ENABLE them to site lower, true. I don't think that it's specified that they did, or should...

and I doubt that there are many on their original spring/dampers, so it depends how it is set up.
