V8S Hotstart probs

Hi Today at Newark Air museum i asked some questions about the above problem.Firstly I would like to thank all those fellow S types that gave me such good advice. They informed me about a yellow connector block in the ignition switch area and how i should do away with it and connect wires together without this. Firstly could some one write down what was said and secondly are we talking about the connector in the picture.this one is connected directly to the ign barrel.

yes take it apart and check the wires i cut mine off connected with block connecters
d c trim of blackpool was the hood

Yes as Tinks says that connector that is yellow one side / black the other.
It has to carry too much current and can melt - and you can only see this if you seperate the two halves (its obvious if you have the problem).
