Hi,
bought new distributor cap & finger & set of HT leads from Motorcraft.
The new HT Lead from the cap to the ignition coil does however not fit, as the contact on the coil is of "stick" type and the contact on the new leads & cap are of "hole" type.
Question: Are there any adaptors or silicone cables with connectors of different type on each side? Or do I need to buy 7 expensive (20,-Eur/pc)single cables from Motorcraft.

P.S I understand that the cheap set of 7 cables comes only for "hole" type connectors on cap and on coil side

Thanks for sharing experience
Cheers Patrick

Roulli,

This doesn't sound right at all !

Mine were Motorcraft leads and the coil is a 'hole' fitting. Are you sure the coil is the right one ??

My coil is not the classical cylinder shaped type. It has more the shape of a little housing for an el. module with a stick type HT connector.
It is probably again a typical "Ford with cat. -different component story" (See hydr. tappets, lack of Air Flow Meter, LSD)
