V8S - Horn

One of the few things I didn't photograph before the strip down was where and how my horns were fitted. Any one got a photo of their horn? Mine work of the stalk but I also have wiring in the boss for a horn so I was thinking about wiring up a second, louder, set off the hornm push. Anyone bothered to do this?

What is that all over your chassis ????

looks same as my S3, got rid of them and put some air horns sort of below o/s headlight, behind the inner wing thingy, nicely tucked away out of sight( and water and spray etc.)

That was during disconnection before bodylift and it was underseal and dirt - not there now!!. Chassis is now green hamerite to match car colour

I really had no idea but its different on the V8

Also Joe I don't know if you've done anything with the bars that support the fan - I just replaced them with 8mm threaded rod - looks nice and shiney now plus they are zinc plated.

Mine are mounted either side, on the bottom threaded bar that supports the radiator housing!

Thanks everyone. The rods were bead-blasted & primed and I've painted them red to match the chassis. hey will never be seen but they do need protecting from the elements.

Looks like they can go anywhere then - once again TVR configuration control goes mad, depends on where they decided to weld the stud?

On my V8S it attaches to the radiator housing bolt - there isn't a stud as such.

Mine's the same as Barky's - must have been built at the same time.

Driver's side radiator frame, clearly visible when looking through left side of front grille. The build number of my car is written on a number of the fibreglass parts in permanent marker (533, matching chassis no). Would there be any value in adding a 'build number' column to the owners list?
