Battery top up charger for S

Planning on a budget friendly £20'er (not a conditioner, just a charger). Unless there's a better one....?

Also.. 1 more question. They sell a few similar looking chargers, which are for different ccs engine. Would the cheapest one do, just take longer to charge the battery?

The smaller chargers have a slightly smaller output but will still do the job. A maintenance charger would be better for a laid up vehicle battery but you can always use a cheap plug in timer on a standard battery charger to have much the same effect.
Main problem with lead acid batteries that are not used very often is that you get a lead sulphate build up on the plates which is difficult to remove. Regular charging will stop this forming.
Some batteries, like the calcium ones are less susceptible to sulphate build up so are better for infrequent use but are a bit more expensive.
Personally I just drive the S every day, that keeps the battery charged fine!!

Mine's getting the engine rebuilt by us & expect there'll be a bit off stopping & starting before getting in out of the tarmac again. But, yes, driving's good!
