Yep, those damn electric windows again!
Have never been great (obviously) and required the usual helping hand on the way back up but now neither side work at all. There is sufficient power getting to each motor, and bizarrely when I stripped out the regulator from the drivers side and plugged it into the passenger side it worked briefly, before packing up again....The motors click or buzz slightly when the switch is depressed but I'm wondering if its just the motors finally giving up...
Anyone any ideas? If I need to replace the motors does anyone know where to source replacements from?

Check their earths, you could be getting a good 12V, but when operating the earth (or any other connection) is poor and hence increasing resistance thus reducing current and hence power. Thanks both....turns out its a slightly different problem than first thought.
Have just discovered by separating the tube with the coil from the motor, the motor works. Re-connecting the coil to the gear will enable me to move the window rest along the guide. There is no problem returning from the bottom but once it reaches the top it stops and refuses to move back down. Disconnecting the coil from the gear and then immediately clicking it back into place in the same position and the window can be lowered.
Have tried plugging it in to the passenger switch and the same thing happens so its not a switch issue....
