S Series TVR spotted in Bahrain!

Ignore the title. There's some chat about a couple of Chimaeras for sale . . . followed by some random digressions . . . followed by a picture of what I think is a V8S posted by a member in Bahrain. I know there have been reports of S series in countries all over the world, but I am amazed someone is running a one in the Middle East!

It's 40 degrees in Dubai at the moment and we're only expecting temperatures to go in one direction.

Could be a V8S although S1/2 wheels and not sure about the wing mirrors - also, upon careful look at the bonnet - not so much of the smooth V8S bulge - could it be a S3C???

Very cool to see a S in Bahrain though - owner obviously has taste

Nice spot. Looks like a V8 bonnet but with early type wheels and non standard mirrors. Guess it could be anything thing that's had work at the other side of the world. Still nice to see that the quite rare S model, that we know and love, has spread around the globe.

Cheers, Kevin! Things are going pretty well out here but I am still trundling around in a crappy hire car that started out white and is becoming increasingly sand-coloured. I bought my tickets for the F1 in Abu Dhabi yesterday and I reckon that will be a fantastic event - I was there for the GT1 racing a few weeks ago and it was superb.

I hope all is well back in Blighty? Looking forward to coming back for a visit in the summer to escape the heat!

This is the place to come for cooling off thats for sure

Some of us "S-ers" were at the Fastlane meeting at Corbridge yesterday and guess what ? it lashed it down with monsoon-like deluges... It seems there is some kind of correlation between TVR's, Grassy show fields and heavy rain...

Still, it was a good event despite the rain and plenty cars to look at... - see the NE Region forum for details

Ahh, I have fond memories of wet TVR weekends. I see the weather didn't stop some very nice cars turning out for the occasion.

I have booked flights for the last week in July and I will give you a shout nearer the time, once I know my exact movements. Be great to catch up with everyone.
