brake master cylinder

trying to clean up my brake master cylinder ford style but carnt remove the reservoir,any tips ,used brute force but not wanting to play ball thanks kev..

It just pulls up and off, there is nothing else other than brute force I am afraid (although a side to side wiggle would be good to free off the rubber sticking. It is actually so simple and easy to remove that I actually pushed mine off the other day by leaning on it accidentally when doing the valve clearances :embarrassed: and although the first time I removed it is did take some force as the rubber had set and stuck firm.

Big screw driver and I was worried the first time I removed the reservoir but gentle (at first and much stronger late) levering did the job

THANKS ,brute force worked ,have cleaned and painted it and ready to refitted to the car tomorrow ,another job of the list...
