Rev range

Hello Guys having not driven my car that much since I purchased it in Nov '09 (hopefully back on the road over the weekend) I was wondering what revs it can safely handle as to date I have only taken it up to around the 4-4500 rpm area as my clutch was not releasing fully due to air in system. Now its sorted am I ok to take it up to the red line now and again

The bit between 4500 rpm and the red line is fantastic - the sound is incredible! But only rev this high when the engine is up to operating temperature.

Hi Alan you can say that again! Well if all goes well it will be off the stands by Tuesday time to drive it for a bit and further tinkering can wait at least for a while. I will get to see you once its on the road.

yeah go for it. Get the engine oil (not water) up to temp and then have some fun. regularly push it upto 6k

I regularly take mine to 6000 max revs, sounds fantastic, again only once warm, I keep below 4000 until then.
