Hmmmmm....new brake lines

My new HEL brake lines have arrived for the S3,hope this isn't a stupid question. I take it the shorter hoses go to the front and I can get rid of all the copper pipe and old hose set up ? With this in mind does the new hose connect straight to the union (by the chassis),direct to the caliper using the hole left by the old pipe to support it ?
Likewise on the rear,do I get rid of the copper pipe from the drum and replace it with the new hose direct to the union ?

If you remove the copper pipes it could be considered a modification by your insurance company so take care, if you want to do that (and I'll not sure of any benefit) I would advise contacting your insurers

Rear ones must be very long ?

hoses I bought from Goodridge just replaced original flexi's,like for like, all metal pipes stayed the same.

Chimaera (and some S's ?) use, as you describe, one long hose supported through the bracket by the top ball joint.
