Picked up a set of griff seats off ebay the other week to replace mine in the S having looked for a colour matched set for ages and got one come up just a fortnight after giving up and buying a tan cows hide for £25 of the bay as well. So thought what is there to lose - £25 and some time?
Anyway the griff seats went in the car and don't quite match but are lighter so a bit of colouring will make them match (may do that later) and the original seats came out. Stripped the drivers one down over a day or so and have started recovering it with the missus. It isn't easy and we are learning a lot as we go along and having to redo sections every now and then. The seat base is done now though and looks good. The headrest is done but needs a bit of rework. The whole thing should go on my website once complete and if the seats look good I'll go back to the originals in the car and re-sell the griff ones.
Hopefully I will also produce a "pattern" for S series seats to allow people to use for trying this themselves by making their own covers.
Another skill being learned with the aid of the TVR - as they say ownership is a real adventure.

Finished seat - not bad for a first attempt, slightly off center with the backrest, but so was the original so hoping it will wear in. Will make adjustments for the passenger one, then unpick and centralise this one if it doesn't settle.
