Done a search and want to know if these will be ok.

7" headlight assembly

S5812B 7" halogen with side light UK dipping

£68 pair + £8 P&P

Then just fit my old chrome rims on them, maybe have to change conectors. Think i got this right, but just wanted to double check, cheers.

They sound about right but you may want to take a look at www.jamespaddock.co.uk They are Triumph specialists but 7" headlamps fit loads of cars

end of last year I paid £34 (inc. p&p and vat) for a pair of genuine Lucas H4 Halogen units complete with bulbs and sidelights

ETA just taken a look at "your ones" , they are complete with bowl, adjusters, retaining bezel etc. Do you need all that ?

Cheers for the Mike, but i need the chrome inner ring that adjusts the lights (up/down, left/right) aswell as the reflectors.

I only really need,

2X reflectors
1X inner chrome (adjustable bit)

All the rest is ok.

Mike, didn't want to risk too much mix n match, so thought these would fit, and my outer chrome rims would fit them, with minor additions, like connections.

Yep I'm here but aint got headlight bits. My advice for what its worth is to replace the lot, its much easier. The inner chrome ring is sepcific to the bowl.

I woulod suggest that you get these

I also fitted new rims http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/prod/chrome-rims.html just a question of making and fitting new little brackets



Having said all that if I were doing it again I woulod be tempted by this

understand what you mean, in theory any makes should "mix and match" Lucas, Wipac, Cibie etc etc....

But having said that I seem to recall the Lucas units didn't quite sit right in the location lugs (old units were Cibie I think), they took a little adjusting so getting the "whole package" may not be a bad idea !
might just be worth asking what make the lamp units are, a known manufacturer or Chinese copies ????

Cheers for the help, i went for the H4 thingys, now all i need is 1 inner chrome ring, the one that adjusts the beam.

Not been on for a couple of days, went into shop and bought the H4 thingys, they fit perfect.

I just want to get the car on the road, for the weekend. Fingers crossed.
