Indicators again

I doubt this will work, but I spotted this



Its an indicator lens off a rubber bumper MG.
Looks like the same plastic as the original (probably same manufacturer).
Does anyone know anyone with a rubber bumper MG that they could measure?

This is off a '74 Midget. The length is a reasonable fit but it's slightly wider and the holes don't quite line up. It also has more curvature but I guess that's not a major issue. Is the 'S' lens just glued to the back ? I could remove mine and see if it fits.

My initial thought was does the lens fit?
From what you are showing maybe not.
BUT would the MG lens with its corresponding rear part be an option?
From the pics I've seen of the MG (not many) the rear part looks smaller than the lens,maybe you could shed a bit of light on this?
Any more complicated than that and I don't think its worth pursuing when we already have workable alternatives.

Yes, but very well glued, difficult to seperate without damaging one or other part !

I'll have a look tomorrow. The MG has been under canvas for a while & I can't remember.

As it goes I have a rubber bumper MG parked behind the S in my garage, seem to remember looking at this once and deciding there was more chance of the devil skating to work in the morning. Sorry.

Hey Chris,
I think I may have had a vision the other day.
I was briskly making my way to a dental appointment when I noticed an old red Sherpa van parked up on the pavement, back end toward me, outside our local Harley dealer. It was that aged, dusty red, probably an old Post Office van. When I glanced in my rear view mirror after passing by I'm sure I spotted two, perfectly in-tact, 'TVR' indicator lenses. I couldn't stop. I did go back to the Harley dealer the following day to see if it belonged to a customer but they were unable to help.
Just to make myself feel worse I had a quick look back through my 'S' file and found two invoices from Leyland/Barnes/DAF for x2 item no BAU2249 from 1992, which I purchased for £16.43 the pair!!!
