Came back from lunch and saw trillions of roadsters, mainly hairdresser's cars like SLK, Z3 etc. but also one E-Type.
Can't wait anymore... called insurance that I'd pick up my card in 1 hour from now.

I want it on the road by this Sunday, even without steering geometrics checked and without RENOVO on the roof...

Only one thing countS now!
Happy Easter to all

Can only agree Pat, Trouble is mine's stuck in the garage in Cambridge and will be for some time yet. Got the heads back on today, what a state the fuel rail was in. Ford seem to paint this area in grey primer! and nothind else. All rusty, don't they know how to paint these things properly. Should get the top end all on by tomorrow night provided her in doors leaves me alone. (keeps bringing me cups of tea every half hour or so so I can't complain, but this really means I'm pi--ed off with you being stuck in that garage.

all the beast

Gadgit,

We both seem to have had the same issue with the fuel rail. I had mine shot blasted and then painted it black. Made it look miles better !!

While you're doing this have you had the injectors checked for flow rate. It isn't expensive and while they're out you may aswell.

Mine were all between 97 - 98 % of each other which is really good. I had new tips and rings put on them at the same time.

Must say that I haven't had the roof on in 3 days !!! Its been glorious here in Norfolk and I'm enjoying my newly fettled and rather fast car.

The only down side is that the car is running so quick that I'm having to readjust suspension again to keep with me through the bends !!!

Cheers

Mark

The engines only done 42000 miles and to be fair i did'nt consider taking the rail off. As i said before, I keep doing this to all the other parts and it could take the rest of me life if i strip everthing. BUT!

How much did it cost to test the injectors?

I've got the rings (rubber)in the head set, and i suppose you will all call me a twerp if I don't at this stage, so I'll consider it.

Its distressing when you think your getting on and find the finish is so bad on the parts.

Now I would like to ask who's fault this crap final stage of finish is down to. Is it that Ford send them to TVR and expect them to apply the final stage, or is this just that no one cares as long as someone buys the cars from the factory. I know that price comes into it, but my BMW failed the MOT on a front brake hose. I popped down to the local supplier and picked up a new hose (£23). The hoses undid easy, and half a hour later the jobs done, MOT done. BMW 1989.

TVR 1988, Had to hacksaw through the joints as the scumbags would not come undone. Took 2 days and blood everywhere on the floor in the garage. Why on earth can't they put some quality hoses on the things.

Proves my point from the past that you should not buy a S unless you've got money to burn, or you are handy with a tool kit. (mines the tool kit) This now means it will be the middle of next week before i get the manifolds back on. Still its coming along, and looking good.

all the best!
