Re-trimming seats

Picked up a colour matched hide from the bay for £25 the other day so intend having a go at re-trimming my seats myself over the next year or so. Having done the centre console already with reasonable success I learnt a lot, but has anyone else done this themselves and if so can anyone offer any tips and advice.

And before anyone says get it done professionally I will if my efforts don't work out, but I like to have a go and at £25 for a full cow hide there isn't much to lose.
