Here are some photos of my chassis following my recent body lift:
The body loaded on a trailer and being taken away to convalesce at the bottom of a field.
A shot of the chassis taken from the top of some steps.
The engine bay. It's painted white because before we took the body off I had started stripping it back to bare metal. At that point I hadn't decided to lift the body completely, so I was going to start at the front and work my way back. We splashed a bit of paint on it to stop it going rusty.
This is about as bad as it gets - it's been checked over and structurally it's quite sound. Just quite a bit of surface rust!
The back end of the car. The fuel tank bracket has completely disintegrated so the mechanic is making a new one which will be sent away for powder coating with the rest of the chassis.
