Ratchet Spanners

There was some talk a while ago about Halford's ratchet spanners.
I've just been on their website and found that some sets are at less than half price:

Hi, if you take my advice don't buy these ones buy them with flexi heads as you always seem to not be able to get this type on as the angle is never quite the angle that you need.

I've got the 33 piece set, and not had any real problems. Would have preferred the flexi head ones but they weren't on sale when I was looking.

Ratchet ends came in dead handy on Christmas eve when I needed to put a new motor on my satellite dish when it was snowing, made it much quicker trying to align it.

I think thats the problem, there is no "angle" they are flat, unlike most ring or combination spanners which makes them aukward to use. IMHO

I find the ratchet head spanners have too large a shoulder and have a set of the flat ratchet spanners from Halfords and have been well pleased with them...
