Exhaust

Got an exhaust rattle in the silencer box - baffles knocking about and driving me nuts! Can 'they' just cut these out and have a straight through exhaust or does this reduce the back pressure on the engine too much?

Other ideas? e.g. replace?

My exhaust was doing exactly the same thing so i made a straight through exhaust, it ran ok but it was too loud so i added a couple of cherrybombs which made it sound spot on and still runs ok.

If you're thinking of having someone open it up to remove the baffles why not have them welded back in ?

Yes indeed, just wondering if there are any benefits?

Graham...very very loud and almost acceptable for a weekend racer except the overrun...it sounds like a cooker imploding!

Does anyone have any recommendations in London for someone who can cut and replace the baffles for me please?
