Hello all,

Its possible (50/50) I won't have my car on the road on Sunday and am desperate to go to the meeting at Virginia Waters as you might imagine.

I am therefor asking if anyone has a spare seat and is going from London. I'm in Surrey Quays but am flexible about a pick up point.

Cheers

Yeh,

I have a feeling that somehow I've upset one of the sensors.

It gives symptoms of a throttle pot gone and then an air flow meter and then is fine.

Its currently running too rich after having run too lean for a while. Won't start unless given full trottle. Wouldn't idle at all on the M25 trying to get to Reading the other morning and now idles too high and then fine and and and ....

Its just not regular and I've completely run out of time and patience with it. Its off to Tower View on Thursday and they can use the Diag equipment to read any faults from the sensors and decide which one it is causing the issue.

I really do not think it is a mechanical issue. I am wholly confident in the work I have done and the car was running just off being perfect after it. This is just another issue. If however it is a more serious issue and the car isn't going to be ready then I am stuck to get there on Sunday, which I won't be impressed about.

Got the new rear screen in though !!! So that looks better !!!

Cheers

Mark

If I leave from Ealing on Sunday morning (should know later in the week)and you can get to Ealing Broadway, you're welcome to a lift as I'll have a spare seat.

Alison,

I would be able to make it by tube quite easily and thankyou very much for the offer.

I should know by the close of play Friday and will let you know as soon as I do.

I really hope I can take mine but if not I look forward to a lift in such a nice S. I do remember rightly that it was you who came to the pub after the last meeting with a dark blue S3 ?

Cheers

Mark, I’m not going to be able to make the S meet which I am gutted about, as you know there is a mini meeting on the same day so we’re going in Jane’s car, if you want you could borrow the S.

Mark,

I am also in Ealing so if Alison can’t give you a lift I can.

Alison, fancy going to the meet in convoy, that is, if you leave from Ealing? Send me an email if you do.

Mark,

Sorry for the delay - yes that was me :-) Do you still need a lift or have you managed to sort out your car or accepted the other kind offers? Offer is still there, just let me know.

John,

Not sure exactly what time I'm leaving yet as I've got some friends staying on Saturday night but it should be around 10:30 if you're interested in meeting somewhere.

Alison,

I am thinking of leaving at 10:00. I will be going out on the M4. Can you manage that?

Just a thought about the car Johno.

Try unplugging the computer control unit and leaving it for a bit, then plug it back in again. I'm sure you know where it is (passenger footwell) this should reset the computer to the default settings and may well get you going, Good luck mate.

Picked the car up last night in Brent Cross and it made it as far as Victoria before it broke down again !!!!!

It blew the ignition system fuse ! Replaced it and it blew it again. Puzzled I went looking for the fault.....steering column cowling off....nothing...engine bay....nothing out of place.

Sp I try a 30amp fuse instead and she starts first time !! Let it run for a while to check it and allow the battery to get some charge back and switch and replace with another 15amp fuse. Starts 1st time and doesn't blow it. Been running fine today although it is holding onto too many revs rather than dropping down quicker, but thats just a case of a littl more set up.

So all being well I'll be there on Sunday.

Again thanks to all for the offers of lifts and cars but I reckon I'll make it just !!

Cheers

Mark
