oil filter?

Does anyone know where I can get an oil filter of the correct dimensions for my S? I ordered a Crosland 547 from a company on t'internet and it's way bigger than the dimensions in the Steve Heath book and it doesn't seem to be made by Crosland either.

The S spares list is useful for that sort of info and I seem to think there are several alternatives listed for the 2.9 filter. I personally use a Motaquip VFL313 (because the Motaquip factor is handy and cheap -ish). The parts list is located from the S series website (www.tvrsseries.com) then at the LHS go to the 'external links' and select 'Parts List' and that will open the website for it.

But to be sure I think you'd be better off calling into local Motor Factor to see if the particular brand they stock is the shorter type.

I use a WIX WL7168. It fits my car no problem but I make no promises that it will fit yours.

I bought a couple of oil filters this time last year from my local factors. That way you can keep a spare for the next service .

For the 2.9 engine I paid £6.12 each for a FRAM PH 2854 which I think is also used for some Alfa's. It fits fine and was readily available.

I used a motorquip VFL-313 as well. Sure the guy on the counter said it was a vauxhall carlton fit.
