Got My S3 Back

So the S3 was delivered last week.. I've not had chance to do too many miles yet so have booked a couple of days off this week have a proper drive.

I must say the boys at Dulford and TVR Car Parts have done a first class job.. It hurts paying someone to do the work for you but they have exceeded expectations with the chassis and running gear restoration plus paint. Now I just need to finish the remaining bits (interior, wheels, engine etc.. lol..) to the same standard and she will be a very fine example indeed. I've even had one of the new filler caps fitted. I must say I am especially pleased with the MX5 mirrors and can even use the passenger side one now, if you have bat wings replace them and you will not regret it. The Cosworth front brakes are a vast improvement too but some of that will be the new hoses and servo.? Non the less they are excellent thanks Hans.. I need to get the rears converted now. Again thanks Hans.

Looks lovely! Did you have the badges re-done? i need to get this done on my S2. Also, how much do MX5 mirrors cost? I have some ste black plastic things that are about as much use as a chocolate saucepan.

looks good +1 on the badges and info on the Cosworth brakes please I think I missed that thread

All looks good Damian, that is a really nice colour by the way, all it needs now are some black 16" wheels to set it all off . I too have the cosworth front brakes on my car and they are brilliant once they have bedded in (a must do conversion in my opinion) good work mate.

Those indicators look great with the clear side repeaters.
Are they BMW lenses?

Re the badges.. those were the ones on it when it went in.. I should have changed really what with having the paint done.. but they look pretty ok for now.

No they are Nissan D21 for the fronts and ford clear repeaters.. note I went for crystal and used chrome bulbs which has then effect of making the bulb blend into the reflector in daylight.. so no hint of orange.

Hi mate.. the badges were replaced at some point a few years ago so I didn't change them.. the MX5 Mk1 mirrors are available on eBay, I paid £30 for the pair.. or I have seen new for £50 each.. they will cover the bat wing hole (thread on here some ware) but obviously best to fill it.. these are super light weight too..
