TVR S1 Running problems

We have got a niggling problem with our S1 which suddenly loses power.
We thought it was the fuel pump so we had a new pump fitted and the fuel pressure checked - all ok
The car is running fine otherwise - it got us to Gloucester (from Cardiff) yesterday but on the way back it lost power again and won't run properly. We pulled over, turned ignition off, then back on without turning it over. The fuel pump then comes on, pump then picks up a minutes or so after, then the car starts and runs fine.
Any wisdom gratefully received!
