Hi everyone - im a new S2 owner!
Been fantasising about a TVR for a while though, had my sights set on a Chimera, until i decided to have a look at the S. Looked a far better proposition for my needs, so here I am!
Anyway, i have a question about the windows. When there all the way up, theres a gap of around 5mm (at the aluminium defector end) and the roof panel, but its a little too high at the other end. Looks like the window is a little canted over (and is hard to shut the door with the window up - to the point where you have to give the door a very firm close, and im starting to worry about breaking the window).
Ive seen a post about adjusting the height of the window via a screw inside the door, but if i take the door panels off can i adjust the window glass?

The "Advanced search" on this site is pretty good.
If you enter windows and choose the S series you get quite a few hits

Best of luck ~ taking the door panel can be quite fiddly. Take the speaker out first there is a small nut which can be awkward

Ive been using the advanced search, have found a few hits on windows but nothing seemed to exactly match.

- Usually involves 2 hours of swearing, tools thrown across garage and a slow dawning realisation that there are now more problems to fix than i started with.

this site is very useful look at "Removing Door Trim".
The hidden bolt can be a problem as it will probably be very rusty. When you are attempting its removal a good tip is to tie your spanner to you wrist with a piece of string so when (not if) you drop it you wont have to get your hand in impossible places.
The only time I had to remove door trims I was unable to undo the hidden nut as it was very rusty and the bolt was turning. All I did them was to carefully lift the trim from the door an put in a cople of thin wedges to hold it away and very carefully saw through the bolt with a hacksaw blade, the head of the nut can be accessed later when you remove the arm rest off the trim panel.
When replacing I would suggest stainless steel and a wing nut

Took my door trims off one dark evening earlier this year to paint that fake wood trim strip (looked a bit stupid, only "wood" in the whole interior, IMHO)
Anyway, struggled like f
k to get at that pesky nut until I realised window wasn't fully up ! Came off ok but plenty of "copperslip" when put back on, or as Norman suggested replace with s/steel or guess brass would do
