My Arm is Broken

Not me Personally but My Trailing Arm.

Just jacked the car up to do some work on the rear brakes and thought i woukd check the chassis and found a hole and a big crack in the trailing arm

Now i know TVR car parts have some for lots of money anyone know any where else i can get one from ?

also how easy is it to change is it a straight swap ?

It's not exactly straightforward, but not that difficult either. Just needs lots of brute force and a 41mm socket.

There are various types of trailing arm for the S, and I believe that the only ones now available are the S3 type. Those won't fit an S4 or V8S (wider track) or an S1 or S2 (different shock absorber mounting points and non-adjustable inner bush). The differences were discussed on this thread:

Best bet is to get yours refurbished by Adrian Venn at Exactly-TVR (Adrian@ on here) who does a top job.

I think Norman (Gerald-TVR) may be selling some trailing arms from the S he dismantled earlier so if any use it could be worth contacting him as currently on ebay? I think they are from an S2 and he is selling the pair.
