What is the red paint typical of the chassis colour on a V8S..and where can I buy it

Should I treat rust with POR-15 first and then paint with the red topcoat?

The original would have been red powder coating, rather than paint.

In theory any colour can be matched, BUT if you're looking at using "off the shelf" brushing paint I would suspect you'll have to settle for something near ?
I used Rust-oleum bright red which is a bit lighter than original powder coat, but of course that may have dulled a litle over the last 19 years !

Hi. I believe that alpha red is a pretty good match for the original powder coating but I havnt yet tried to source any.

To paint the chassis of my S3, I used paint with RAL code 3011.
It's almost the same as the original red of the chassis.

You could try a sample of this colour.
