Thats what winters are for, what you got in mind Jaye. Will keep mine on the road until the salt goes down, i have a small list for the S, not as much as last year though, the 'M' has enough to keep me busy this time round.

To start with I'm taking the radiator off then treating & re-painting the front chassis. Will also probably give the whole engine bay a good clean up - finishing off what I started last year.

Big jobs include taking the doors off and re-hanging them, having the front shocks re-conditioned (back ones already done) & looking in to fitting a fuel swirl pot (although this isn't essential). Finally, I want to start looking at 'cleaning up the interior'.

Basically, try not to spend too much money (although I seem to say that each year) and rely on my elbow grease.

Sounds good, will keep you busy - found an even mix of white spirit and gunk(and that elbow grease stuff)worked well on getting underseal and waxoil off chassis, quite like the smell of gunk oddly enough.

Get yourself a bump cap - its like a baseball cap but with a hard plastic lining inside (as opposed to a hard hat).
You'll crack your head on that hanging bonnet a million times! Trust me I have the scars to prove it!

Here's an example (I just googled bump cap) but loads of places do them including screwfix.

Not being that tall (only 5' 7") the bonnet just clears my head (by about an inch) - so 'hopefully' I should be OK & hopefully not get too many bumps

Prioritise ! chuck the old Mini out in the cold and get TVR in the garage

but let the mini live outside NO WAY
we have just rebuilt it 5 years ago
