Long journey planned this Friday

I have to drive to Portsmouth this Friday to visit parents and as the weather forecast is good I thought I would take the S and give it a good run it's quite a long trip (400 miles round) to say I'm looking forward to it is an understatement as the longest journey I have done so far is only about 90 miles, although the neighbours are in for a shock as I always leave Derby at 5.00am. I seem to remember a thread on here about never filling the tank to the brim on the S3C as it does something to the carbon cannister is that right? or can I brim it without any worries?

I don't know whether you "should" brim it Tony but I've done that to my S3C regularly and it doesn't seem to have done any harm to it. Not sure what the carbon canister does (something to do with stopping petrol fumes??) but there are no smells or anything so assume all is OK. Weather does look good so have a decent trip.

2 weeks ago I did 1200 km to Czech and back in the S without any problems and it was great fun. The whole way there with the roof down. Only problem I did have was a large hole in the road in Czech (not unusual) which grounded the exhaust, I think without major damage. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Managed it Ok, did a total of 425 miles at an average of 34mpg (steady 70-75) no problems at all, unfortunatley got stuck in an hour long queue on the M25 no overheating or dramas whatsoever, who says TVR's are unreliable, even the seats were comfortable, was a bit noisy though but a brilliant day all round.
