Does anyone know where to get the black rubber trim rings for S3 door mirrors ( ribbed versions ) hehe
Has anyone fitted aftermarket wood effect gearknob and handbrake covers-what did they think? Finally found a place in Southampton who sells replacement gear lever and handbrake gaitors on Ebay, has anyone used him and what did they think?

The bands are standard Black Nitrile O Rings - There are plenty of sites in the UK to buy some.

I did have a load of them, but that was a few years ago now. Do you have some on the car that you can measure from..?

Hi
No the car was bare of them when i got it, i noticed some cars at S club had them and they looked much smarter than without. I'll look for black nitrile ones on ebay, a mate of mine said he thought you could just buy a length of the stuff and cut and glue it to size. What do you think?

I'll check in the Garage for a spare one and let you know the spec.

Probably better off with Pre-made, but self glued would also work, putting the join out of sight.

I think the O'rings are the best idea but I found it hard to find any the right size so I bought a length of EPDM cord (forget how much) from a company called POLYMAX they have a really efficient mail order service.

From memory they had a vast amount of different sizes so visit their site (www.polymax.co.uk)and take your pick. They also sell the glue to join the cord together and so far I've had no problem with them seperating.

Hope this helps if you have no luck with the O'rings.
