I suppose if they are missing and new ones are not available, it would not be too difficult to make some plates from aluminium that would do the job...
I would clean out the existing slot/hole in the window frame,
srew the new plates in place.
fill the slots/holes with resin and push a wooden peg wrapped in clingfilm in place to create the "blind" hole.
when the resin has dried, remove the wooden peg leaving the hole at the size required. which could be sleeved with plastic maybe?
Alternatively maybe Norman can have his machining friend mill some out of solid metal/nylon ?? assuming theres enough requirement to make it worthwhile ?

yes but if the actual bits are not available, its the front plate which is important in function and asthetically. the void behind the plate just needs to be large enough to accept the pegs on the targa panels without being so cavernous that the fit is not snug. A plate would be simple and cheap to make, a 3D "socket" would be pricey to make from solid.K

Has any one found a solution to this?My pegs are just the metal and have been altered over the years - no plastic sleeving. The sockets are there held with small self tappers.
Havn't lost the roof yet but can be a job to sort over winter.
Have had a better look, took the panels out. All the sockets are there ok.
Have two front peg plastic sleeves missing which only leaves about 1/4" of steel. Seeing the picture on TVRcarparts site i think the plastic seems to be bonded around the steel. So mine must have come off at some time.

Carefully pee back the roof material, then drill around the outside of the old ones (I used 3 and 4 mm drill bits) then join the holes (I used a dremel for this bit) then grip the old one with with pliers and bend back and forth until it comes loose and pulls out. Then clean out hole and using fibreglass wadding and resin cement the new ones into place. Whilst still wet and able to move tape over the end to stop the fibreglass resin runnig out and put panel in roof and tighten struts (this positions it correctly). Once dry take off car, fill any gaps/holes and allow to dry then sand smooth. Next re-glue the material in place.Take care and do it slowly then it is relatively easy, but time consuming - I did it over 3 weekends to allow good cure times (but I'm not at home during the week)

Got the roof panels sorted today, as per Marks instructions -
The original was just the metal bit so the new one must have more than twice the grip.
One thing about drilling around the peg make sure you have a few bits. I broke two, one of which is now inside the panel. Will probably rattle around forever.
