It's been quite a while since I first posted that I had bought a box of TVR bits, but it is at last moving on. Here are some latest photos, rolling chassis with most of the brake pipes on. Next on my list is the fuel system with all new pipes.

Crikey, that looks like a first class job Tony, well done, some of the restorations posted on here have set a very high standard for the rest of us 'S' owners to aspire to when the time comes, again well done.
cheers.....Tony..

How I wish I had a garage (and the money) to do a rebuild frown

Can I ask where you got the fuel tank from. That's is one of the things on my 'to replace list'.

That looks superb, well done. I always think it seems a pity to have to cover all of that detail work up when it comes to put the body back on. It would be great to still be able to see the fruits of all that hard work.

Great stuff thumbup

Ken I don't think I can bring myself to waxoil it. I have kidded myself that the modern powder coat paint is much better than the original and I am toying with trying it for a year and keeping a close eye on it to see how it goe's. At least I can see whats going on and if it does start to get chipped I will pay to have someone do it. I couldn't face covering it all up myself. I might carefully do the tops of the outriggers etc. before body on, where water might lay or I won't be able to inspect.

Early next year I might ask you to pop round with your beast so that I can check where all the engine wiring connectors etc. go. But that's a long ways off, I have got to save up for the body respray first.

Cheers for the comments guys. Great site and lots of help from Barkychoc etc.

Coat it with ACF50 instead of Crudoyl and make mudflaps to protect the front outriggers...

TonupS2,
Before you go any further do swap round the rear upper shock bolts so that the head is on the outside. I appreciate that they're not fully tightened but it is quite easy to leave them in that orientation and then fit the bodywork, and I doubt that you'd want to lift the body again just to remove the shock bolts.
