Is it worth forking out for the second edition, I already have the original (published 1997) - what additional information does it have to justify the expenditure. n.b. - looking forward to your reply in particular Steve!
Basically it has loads more of everything. Think it is roughly twice the size of the first edition.

Pete said it. 140,000 words, some 400 odd illustrations and 2000 hours of my life more!

Keithyboy,
I had the old bible and found it v usefull. When I bought my big boy S I asked the same question and got the same reply. I now have v2 as well and agree that it has everything but more of it. No I'm nont on commission.
I've got both mine through the TVRCC office with next day delivery - great service.
Cheers,
JSG

shpub!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please help - if you can answer the questions in the S-thread "wing mirror to wing mirror..." I promise I'll order your book straight away.
I really, really need to know if a V8S will fit in the small garage attached to teh house I intend to put an offer in, as I intend to buy the S once I'm moved - GreenV8S has been helpful, but it seems rough calcs are a bit risky - have you got the exact length and width figures (someone else in the thread said the handbook reckoned it was 90" WITHOUT the wing mirrors!)
Much appreciated
Zeb

zeb,
OK - from the bible's 1st edition - information sourced from TVR Engineering - Length = 3958 mm, Width = 1665mm. Ive just this minute checked my V8S and I agree with the length - I got 3960 mm (156 ins) but the width INCLUDING MIRRORS and measured through the car with windows down - mirror edge to mirror edge being the widest point - I got 1830 mm (72 ins) against 1665 mm from the bible figures (without mirrors?). Hope this helps you.

I had a quick look and thought this had been solved as you could get the car in but not open the doors. Add about 13 inches to the width measurements posted to allow the door to open. That is a minimum and really you will need more.
Also bear in mind that the mirrors which add to the width changed. The worst ones are the V8S so if a V8S fits, the other should as well.
Alternatively, get out before putting the car into the garage and push the the car in. The car is quite light and this is easy to do.
