I have decided that the time is right for my 1989 S1 to go.
I love it but just do not use it enough. It has done 65K miles needs a new roof.
MOT until June 2010. A bit of a tatty interior but good mechanically. Any ideas as to what price I could ask?
With prices at the moment, I'd take a stab at the £3000 mark, but without pics....I love it but just do not use it enough. It has done 65K miles needs a new roof.

HTH
If as you say it has a tatty interior and needs a new roof you are going to have to emphasise the mechanical condition to get a good price...
list whats good and why...
outriggers replaced ? thats a major cost or saving to a prospective buyer and is very important
similarly trailing arms - especially on an S1 as replacements are not straight forward...
other high cost items like shock absorbers, fuel tank, exhaust + manifolds are great to mention if they are new, tyres ?
without very clear description of the condition of this kind of thing it would be difficult to value your car.
good luck anyway...
