You could buy this, barter him down to £300 take the engine out and still get £100-£150 for the scrap metal,
mmmmm tempting, problem is the other £1k for the rest of the bit's i'd need!

Thats a Scorpio with the BOB engine, which I understand raises difficulties with the ECU as its auto only.
The Granada Scorpio Cosworth has the BOA engine which is easier to make work with a manual box, I don't know if there was a crossover period or not with the 2 engines or if it just changed when the vehicle model changed.

You'd need to take an angle grinder and a big hammer to the chassis! yikes

lol at auto.. seriously though my wife with auto licence only would love it but its just so wrong.. I got the TVR so I could do the manual thing again..

Re the BOB I didn't think it was the auto box that caused problems as AFIK all BOA had it too.. I thought it was the ignition key immobiliser thing.. but that can be rectified with an after market ECU.

I want to put the 24v in mine next winter, hope there are some left then.

Apart from PATS the BOB also has VIS to overcome.

BOA's are easier to modify but BOB's have a slightly better better bottom end and cams. The best solution is a BOB rotating assembly and block fitted out with BOB cams in BOA heads. Use a BOA timing chain and front end set up.
