Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in (or near) the TN6 area to help us get our beloved S2 back on the road? It will need to be towed/trailered. Having tried ordinary garages and mechanic mates who tell us we need this and that bit and that they need to take the engine out etc we now realise we are wasting our money.
We now know that we need an independant TVR expert or someone to recommended a good garage as we do not want to get ripped off anymore!!!

Try Austec in Crawley - they know the S series very well, so I'm told

Be done with it - get them to replace the master, slave and connecting pipe and enjoy some sunshine!

What are the symptoms of your clutch problem?

Hi - I am on this forum on behalf of my other half so my knowledge is not as good as his as I have luckily not had it happen to me!
However, we were first told it was a new clutch, which we bought, only to then be told told it is more likely a leak in the slave cylinder, so we now have a clutch in the spare bedroom!
Basically it starts off to be very difficult to change gear, then your only resort to change gear is to switch off and start with your foot on the clutch in 2nd and try and rev hard to get it going. We have nursed it home twice...
Just would love to find an easy way that is not too pricey (in these credit crunch days)to get it fixed as we both love to go out and drive it fast(and loud!)...
