Can anyone help please

Am currently rebuilding an S that someone else started as a project and am nearing the stage of dropping the body back on but have a problem with the handbrake lever and linkage. I DON'T HAVE IT!!!! I Have fitted a new cable etc, but have no lever or linkage in the boxes of bits.

Was the lever a special for the S, any ideas where I can get one from?? Your help and knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I think the lever is a TVR special, it may be from something else but no idea what.

This might help

It could be worth dropping Tony an email for a few photos of the lever off the car.

It has a splined shaft that goes through the chassis and engages with the metal part on the cable - which I assume you have?

Pic below - hope this helps

Norman you don't have a spare from when you broke up Lucy do you?

Here are some photos. The button should be black (it was missing from my box of bits and I have turned this out of a piece of plastic temporarily). If you find out what car its from please post on here or add to the alternative parts list. Good luck Tony

I will take some more photos of the linkage and connections when I gat a chance. Have you got the brake cable?
A fair while ago I bought some bits off a guy who was braking his TVR I have emailed him to enquire if he has a handbrake. I will let you know.

Do you recall what the thread size is in the button?

TonupS2 has not posted for over a year so I doubt you will get a reply.
I think it is most likely M5 but if you are making one just leave the hole undersize in the plastic and screw it on.

Was a bit of a long shot but thought someone else (out of the five or six people still on here) might have read this and known the answer wink

Do you have a way to measure it even if only the OD?
BA thread is much finer than metric.

Mike. Mine is off the car at the moment, I’ll see if I can get it off at the weekend and get a size for you.
