I've finally resigned myself to getting a new exhaust for my S2 - currently mine has just a single silencer and I need to know whether this is standard because I'm keen to retain my 'Can - Am' exhaust note.

I just need the section from the engine back (i.e. no downpipes required) and wondered whether others have bought an off the shelf stainless item or gone down the custom route?

Any info. regarding, where you got one and how much it cost gratefully received.

And if anyone has a spare one that you no longer need, knocking round in a shed somewhere, that you might want to sell, that would be great too.

I got one from ACT (actually its JP Exhaust that make them). I asked them to replicate the V8S style of tail pipes which they did. The product was great and well put together. Talk to Tim Lamont at ACT he'll sort you out. I did have a few problems with mine and it had to go back along with my old exhaust to provide them with a template. But give ACT and JP respect they sorted it all out and even repaired my original exhaust for no extra charge. I have since sold on the new ACT exhaust because the original one was a lot louder and I like that. You can ask them to basically creat an exhaust with a resonator box rather than a silencer. All in all ask them exactly what you want and they'll do it for you. The cost of mine a year ago was £432 delievered.

When I had an S3 I had ACT make up a custom system for me. It was a straight through system, but not totally sleeved, I kept the V6 style tail pipes, but had V8 sized ends.
