Hello Chaps,

the search function seems down again - anyone any recommendations to use for sticking the heat shield/reflector back onto the underside of the bonnet ?

many thanks
John

If you mean the black soundproofing material stuck to the underside of the bonnet, the best thing you can do is take it off as it doesn't really do much, but can fall down and jam the throttle open.

If it is a heat shield/reflector, then it is not original.

I used brush on Evo Stick (comes in a can with the brush built into the lid), bought from local DIY store.
Has lasted for 3 years so far

Would not getting rid of the heat shield help get heat out of the engine?

Mine started to come down a couple of years ago(mine was a thick black insulation).

I used a type of epoxy putty, I rolled it into long thin strips. It stuck very well.

It's still up.

Cheers,

Fred
