Gaz dampers..I have and very happy on a S1.5.
Leda kits also around and Paceracing reckons his are excellent, Jas has done an awful lot of suspension tuning aswell........as has Peter Humphries who reckons........Nitrons are very good, but are the expensive end of the market.
AVO's are rated by some and not by others...argument tends to be that they suit the heavier cars such as the Wedges but not the S.
AVO's offer the cheapest option, Gaz offer the middle to lower end of the price range, Leda I believe are similar and the Nitrons although superb are dear.
Koni's do not have a good rep on this list although some have found them alright. Especially ex Mini men I think !! They also have to be removed from the car to be adjusted which is a right royal pain the a@:e !
Standard shocks never seem to get a mention.
As for adjustable spring seats....just about all of the above come with them anyway. I would recommend having them although I will say it largely depends on how much you want to play around with ride heights. The ability to adjust damping is the critical bit for me and is regularly fiddled with.
Hope this helps..
Cheers
