S01 Rusty Chassis

Has any body had any experience with repairing S01 chassis? Can they be welded at home or is it a job best left to a dealer. It’s gone into a hole at the front drivers side front out rigger.

Yes it is easily done. I welded mine using an ARC welder. Is the hole on round or square tubing? - mine was on a round section so I cut out the old rust, got a larger tube, had it cut in half and welded it over the top - worked a treat!

I removed mine and had it shot blasted first - it made it very easy to see problem areas.

It’s on the round tubing where it does a 90-degree behind the front wheel. Did you raise the body or just slide it over the top.
