Somehow I think it'll end up going for "slightly" more than the current £1.21....!!

Unless you are really wanting originality - give up and replace with the kia, BMW or Nissan Navarro/Ford Maverick alternatives IMHO all of these look better than the originals but there are advantages and disadvantages to all - search the threads to find out about them.

I have fitted the teranno ones to mine see here and they cost £5 + £2.50 p&p and inc the wiring plugs for the pair from ebay.

£23 now - because I wasn't concentrating when I was putting GGO back in her box this evening..I wouldn't dream of compromising originality with some Nissan/BMW component when exotic original BL van parts are still available...

Now we're at £42 and still a day to go - who are these guys ?

Looks like I'll be replacing mine with the equivalent Dacia Duster item or whatever it's supposed to be.

Perhaps LDV would still be going if they stopped making vans and concentrated on the more lucrative business of manufacturing front indicators for S owners.

I did look at this but decided against it.
Instead I bought some BMW one's and I'm so glad I did, I think they look really good and they only cost me £4 and were easy to fit.

Hi,
Which model BMW lenses fit? I need to replace mine and I think Sherpa Van lenses for £56 is mental!
Cheers,
Steve

Here are the options:

BMW

Terrano and Maverick

Kia or here

With the Terrano/Maverick you replace the full assembly with the BMW and Kia you need to use the original backing piece haong removed the sherpa lense. The Nissan/Ford option also covers the trim end as they sit slightly further out than the Kia/BMW. Pays money and takes choice.

Oh Mods can we make this a FAQ as well?

I'm all for originality but not at that price. I salvaged my lenses by cutting off the chipped and broken flanges, filed, sanded and polished them up and they don't look at all bad. In fact I think they look just fine and I've even saved the cost of aftermarket replacements. I do have some proper new ones ready to fit but they can stay in the cupboard for now.

Does anyone else remember reports of a graveyard of old Sherpa vans in the Falklands? I'm sure it was mentioned on here a year or so ago, I've tried seaching but that only returns results for the last few months for some reason. I thought the poster was trying to negotiate the purchase of indicators with the scrappy but was meeting some resistance, just wondered what the outcome was. Or was it just a wind up?

Have you got a part number or model year etc for Nissan / Ford option ? That would be dead handy.

Like these ? scratchchin

Sorry I said navara when I meant Terrano - my mistake I have corrected the above post, but the picture looks identical to the Terrano so we may have found another alternative if the size is correct.

Apologies for error

Mark

ETA Terrano 1 NOT Terrano II

Edited again to Add: see further comment below It is Teranno II!!!!! Difficulties by name changes when marketing in different continents.

They do look very similiar.

I have started a thread in GG (assuming the mods don't immediately put it into Japchat of course) seeing if anybody can at least measure the hole centres.

If I was in need of replacements at that price I would probably jump in and order the ones shown but thankfully I laid down a couple of pairs before stock totally disappeared.

thread here

Norm,

I remember that pic from a previous post but if you look it is not correct (the part must have been in the wrong box) as it is from the terrano II and sits on the edge of the wing and is shaped like the pic on top left corner of the box. The ones needed are from the early teranno, where they sit low down in the bumper like on the S.

Although I must admit I thought mine had come from a teranno II until I went back to look up pictures of the cars last night and saw the difference here which clearly shows that first generation is what is needed.

Mark

ETA: Ha ha I've found the error. The link above redirected me to the Japanese names not the Teranno and I hadn't realised it, it appears the teranno was always the teranno II in europe and was the teranno II facelift when the front end changed. Butit doesn't really matter you need terrano indicators of the rectangular shape (and there is only 1 set tat is rectangular)
