Refurbished 'walnut' S2 dash
Discussion
Been trying for over a year to get my spare 'wood' dash refinished. First attempt just wasent up to it, poorish finish and soft oil based paint.
Just collected it after have Paul Banham of Myrtle Productions (01843 8449620) Kent has worked his magic at a reasonable price (about a third of what I had been quoted elsewhere) and its bl
dy fantastic. It probably wont be fitted before Chatsworth but will be by S Club Heaven

Its polyester paint on fibreglass but he also do proper wood veneering, cant recommend him highly enough. Its so strong even paint stripper wont shidt it.

Nope - Paul Banham said you could pour paint stripper on it, its so tough. He did spray paint over it and then poured thinners and tried to rub it in, to no avail, it just removed the paint. Applied a little compound and polished it. No marks whatsoever, seems to be as tough as tough can be.
It can be scratched but the covering is almost 1mm thick, so even so could be polished out. having said that its in the spare room not the garage just in case.
