Would the fact that my S2 belonged to Maj. James Hewitt between 1989-1994 (when the Diana affair "allegedly" took place) increase its value? Many people I've spoken to seem to think it would, unfortunately none of those people will give me great wedges of cash for it! What's the general opinion?

Perhaps if you were able to find any post-coital fluids still coating the upholstery you might be able to sell a pic to the News of the Screws – or could verify that fornication between JH and Di took place (ie, a passage in his book etc) in the car then maybe.

If not – no! Sorry

I doubt that having James Hewitt as a previous owner would make much difference in the price, you'd need a celeb like Elvis Presley as a previous owner to bump the price up

NB: I do know Elvis died before TVR made the S - Just trying to make a point

Eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!
Do you have to be quite so graphic! That would make the 'post-coital fluid' over 13yrs old!!

Swindorski,

If it is that car, then the one-off Hydrogas suspension conversion would certainly boost the price as it has with other factory specials such as the S series ES model, Cosworth S and the Zante project currently undergoing restoration.

I guess you would need provenance of some kind - do you copies of the original registration document etc?

Did you pay "great wedges of cash" for it on that basis when you bought it by any chance ..??

I could be wrong, but I'm sure I heard that Jimmy H had screwed the rear of a second hand Princess in his S2.

Sounds reasonable to me, or should that be treasonable?

Cheers
