windscreen washer
Discussion
My squirty bit has broken
, the top half has fallen off and the bottom bit has vanished into the car.
Is it as I suspect a dash out job? or is there some cunning access hole I'm not seeing?
ETA: when I do eventually get to it to replace it what car is it from?

I would be tempted to take the opportunity to re-run the pipework and fit the type of washer that clips to the wiper arms and lays the water on the screen just infront of the blade. Yo'll get a better wash and it won't squirt over the screen and into the car when the roof is off, plus you won't have to crabble around behind the dash.

I did this on my old V8S, pretty simple really, if you take out the glove compartment you can get access through there. Its fiddly but easy, just a case of of locating the pipe (if its fallen through) pushing it back through the hole, fitting a T piece bit of tubing then insert new tubes that run to each wiper, it gives a much better wash/wipe than the squirt over the windscreen originals...
if you want pics, ask BigV8 he has the car nowHope this helps

Thanks for the advice
I think I'll fit a spare squirty thingy this weekend (mot just ran out and I have a few here to choose from) but leave it easy to remove to fit ones on wipers at a later date
Glove box is out, if you reckon getting to it from there is "fiddly but easy" then you must have smaller hands than me
(or perhaps an assistant with small hands and long arms)... so far I've only succeeded in breaking off more of the old squirter and losing the end of the pipe. Not going to let it defeat me though, it's in there somewhere and I'm going to get it back out through the hole.
